A dark, meaty, almost Côte Rôtie-like Pinot Noir from the steepest, due-south part of a 1.5-acre section in the east hills of Hood River; isolated since 2018 from the fruit that normally goes into the Spring Ephemeral Pinot. Undisturbed whole-bunch ferment in a sealed fermenter, ~2 years in small casks, no sulfur added. Nate has moved toward a more “infused” style, going to press with large quantities of intact clusters.
