Winemaker Notes
The third and most ethereal Zinfandel release from the black sands of Scorched Earth, and the first of a series exploring the line between red and rosé. Hand-harvested, whole clusters ~8–9 days, a couple of days on skins with a few pigeáges, pressed to barrel, aged on lees and hand-bottled the next spring with a little of the wine's CO2. Nate: “darker and more concentrated than a typical rosé, paler and more delicate than most red wine — strawberries, grapefruit skin, peppercorn and sage with a subtle meatiness.”
