A pale, floral Zinfandel from a very dry 1.25-acre parcel of decomposed volcanic sand at Scorched Earth, planted in the late 1990s. One of Hiyu's “Spring Ephemeral” wines, bottled early to catch the fruit-and-flower window and meant to be served chilled; it sits on the line between red and rosé. The plot belongs to owners of Irish descent, hence the name of the legendary hero Fionn.
