A dark, powerful field blend of nearly 20 rare Spanish and Portuguese cultivars — predominantly Prieto Picudo, Juan García, Babosa Negro and Touriga Nacional — from a 0.2-hectare plateau in the northeast corner of the farm, exposed to wind and western sun. Planted to make a deep, concentrated red that competes with warmer climates on concentration while keeping the lift and perfume of Hiyu's cool alpine valley.
